Access App to Power App Modernization
Conversion of a legacy app built in Access 2003 to Power Apps as part of a Non-profit’s modernization efforts.
Project Description
As part of a modernization initiative, the client needed to migrate critical reports from a legacy Microsoft Access application to Power BI. Multiple attempts had failed because the report outputs did not match the data stored in the underlying SQL database.
We reverse engineered the Access application to uncover hidden data transformations embedded in forms, queries, and VBA code. By documenting and replicating this logic, we enabled our partner consultant to deliver accurate, trusted Power BI reports. To reduce ongoing reliance on the legacy system, we also developed a custom Power App to simplify data administration and support future operations.
